Outside the entrance, a group of customers dressed all in black and boys with strange makeup and stand-up school uniforms were directing the customers.
They had previously performed plays called "Mercuro" and "Galatias."
Manga artist Maruo Suehiro also appeared in Mercuro as an assistant to the teacher played by Shimada Kyusaku. The first performance of “Lychee Hikari Club” began at Shimokitazawa Toen Parata in December 1985.
                                 
Tokyo Grand Guignol's director, Ameya Norimizu, said, "I wanted to stage Maruo Suehiro's drawings."
And when he heard the sound of tap dancers stomping on the floor in the J Theater Company he was previously a member of, it brought back memories of his childhood and overlapped with the world drawn by Maruo Suehiro. He then founded Tokyo Grand Guignol in order to express the unique world of his childhood that had been revived.



There is no curtain between the narrow audience seating and the stage, and the stage suddenly goes dark as Tokyo Grand Guignol's Litchi Hikari Club begins.
On a high spot in the center of the stage, a boy in a school uniform and silver-rimmed glasses is posing to the mechanical pop music. Several students are each carrying spotlights on their shoulders, pointing them at the audience.
A bright red star painted on the surface of the coffin in the center stands out against the monotone black and white.

It is not certain whether the sound of a whistle was actually heard.
Zela is the leader of the Hikari Club, but in fact Jibo (Ameya Norimichi) is behind it all and has brainwashed Zela.
This is just my imagination, but Zela must have been an honor student at school and a promising young man with high hopes for his future.


In the early days, manga artist Suehiro Maruo also appeared. He played the role of a doctor who was happy to show a video of a corpse dissection. Of course, he was also promoting his own book.

Jaibo may be a student at another school.
This boy is a smart boy who looks down on the world and adults.


Jaibo gives Zela, an honor student, some nasty advice and uses him.
 The boy also hates adults and has an abnormal dislike for the acts that adult men and women engage in. He doesn’t want to grow up as a boy. In order to never become an adult, he created this organization and wore an iron penis while remaining a virgin.

Jaibo shouts, "This iron penis is not for use on human women. Each person should think about how to use it. 
As for me, well, let's try it on TV. Hello, Psychic TV!", 
inserts it into a CRT TV and runs around the stage as if electrocuted.
 


"Hello, Psychic TV!" he said as he thrust his iron penis into the TV screen

★Hiroyuki Tsunekawa, who played Zera, said, "The crucial difference b etween "Raichi Hikari Club" and "Lychee Hikari Club" is that Raichi ★Hikari Club has no BL elements. 
Basically, all the members have steel penises, so they can't have sex with women or masturbate, let alone BL. They’re set up as a group of flawless steel virgins. The members of Raichi Hikari Club are Youths who are liberated from sexual urges and dream of a wise dictatorship, and boast of their iron-clad unity. They’re a guinea pig testing ground forJaibo, who is set up like that. Jaibo is the true emperor of darkness.” (August 2015)

Suddenly, young Toba is dragged in by the students.
It seems he had been exploring the area around the Hikari Club and peeking. He claims that he didn't see anything because he has poor eyesight... but he is still executed by the leader, Zela. His eyes are burned by Zela's favorite pin spot light, Leuchten, and he becomes blind.
As Toba is walking with his eyes blinded, he is stopped and questioned by the female teacher, Hagio Naomi, but he replies, "I did it myself." "There's no way I could have done it myself," the teacher says. Fearing retaliation from the boys, Toba replies, "No, I'm quite skilled."

It eats and sleeps in order to be killed and eaten. It's simple. 
There is no waste in it."

One day, the boys forcibly take away the female teacher. 
The teacher is raped byJaibo with an iron penis, 
and dies with blood spurting from her genitals. 
As a representative of the adults of the world,

One day, the boys' robot is completed. Its name is Raichi. "The fuel for this robot is Raichi. Raichi are a fruit that even Yang Guifei enjoyed eating, so we can't feed our cute robot gasoline or electricity. Raichi has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

                               "Lychee is said to be inspired by the lychee dessert served to Ameya  
                Norimizu when he dined with a magazine reporter, and is also based 
          on the manga "I am Shingo" by Umezu Kazuo. "
The boys order Lychee to "crouch! stand!", and Lychee obediently follows the order. The boys get excited as they repeat the same command to Lychee, exclaiming, "Wow, that's amazing!". Zela asks Lychee, "By the way, what is your mission?" Lychee replies, "To capture a girl."The robot devours Lychee, making a slurping sound. Raizo (Yaguruma Kennosuke) gives Lychee a bucket-like hat with cat ears (anyone who wears this will fall asleep immediately) and orders him to bring the girl back. At first, Lychee puts on the hat himself and comes back with a stuffed toy, but then goes out to the surface again to hunt for girls.

    The boys excitedly observe the scene through four periscopes underground.






























Lychee returns with the girl, who has the hat pulled down low over her head. The girl's name is Marin (played by Koshi Miharu).
In response to Zela's questions, the girl makes Zela feel embarrassed by saying things like, "What a strange name," "You should stop talking like that," and "Ask me better questions." Zela decides to transform the girl into an iron maiden.

 One day, Tamiya (Takei Tatsuhide) loses a game of chess to Zela. Frustrated, Tamiya is persuaded by Jibo to set fire to the lychee tree that Zela was growing, but is easily caught. 
Despite Jibo's instigation, Jaibo suggests castration and removes Tamiya's iron penis.
The innocent young girl Marin encourages Tamiya by saying, 
"It's good to be both a man and a woman!"  "You idiot!" says Tamiya.

Marin and Litchi gradually begin to connect with each other. The girl tells Marin and Litchi her name. Litchi says, "I'm a human. That's what was programmed into my head." Marin responds, "Then show me your head. Oh, are you sulking? A sulking robot is funny."





Lychee fills the place where the girl sleeps with red flowers, gives her flowers as presents, and plays the foot organ for her.
Marin says to Lychee, "Would you be happy if I were a machine? Because when I become an old woman, you will no longer give me flowers.
One rainy day, in a leaky basement, the two of them are wrapped in a plastic sheet and huddle together, falling in love. 


Miharu Koshi, who plays Marin, has a boyish short haircut and wears cute girl's clothes. And her voice is just like a girl's.

   
 

Marin: "I've never felt such a cold forehead before. Hey, what's your forehead made of?"


Marin: "My left hand is the weakest. I can't write well, and I can't draw well. But beautiful sounds always come from my left hand. That's because the left hand doesn't do menial work."






Kyusaku Shimada, who plays Litchi, has a facial structure similar to Arnold Schwarzenegger and very kind eyes. Marin dances to the tune of the anime "Night on the Galactic Railroad" like a music box doll, stopping when the spring runs out and spinning again when the spring is wound up. 

Litchi falls in love with Marin and awakens as a human, but one day he goes out of control. He starts killing boys one by one.




                                                           
















            
The last opponent is Zela. Lychee thrusts one hand into Zela's abdomen and pulls out his innards. At that moment, Zela spits blood into the audience. He pulls out his intestines from his stomach and says, "These are my innards. It hurts. I wonder if there's any way to put them back together. This is a problem. I'm kind of tired. I know, I'll just rest for a bit." ... and dies.
I was sitting in the front row and got splashed with blood that Zela spat out. There are still spots of blood on the handkerchief that I still have in storage. A few years ago, I showed the handkerchief to Tsunekawa-san, who played Zela. He said, "Amazing, it's been decades, but the color hasn't faded."

Lychee then finds Marin, and just as they run towards each other, they run out of fuel. Marin picks up the last lychee and says, "I'll peel it for you right now," and tries to feed it to Lychee, but Lychee has her eyes closed and doesn't move.

~Blackout~

When the light comes back on, Lychee is sitting in the center with her eyes closed, and Marin is lying on Lychee's lap with a bucket-like hat on her.
Zela is standing behind Lychee, and it seems that Zela will live forever.


Zela: "...I'll just stand here and watch. A machine called Lychee slowly rusts away. A girl named Marin... named Marin rots and turns to bones... 
Gentlemen!! ...Bodhran! Beginen!" 
Zela takes out his flute and blows it. The sheets that made up the back wall of the stage all fall. 
Beyond them, there are a number of stepladders lined up, and boys sit on them, each with their own way, shining lights at each other's bloody faces. As the strong sound of bell echoes, the lights slowly go out.

Hiroyuki Tsunekawa, who played Zela, is from Tokyo. He has been a member of the Shakespeare Theatre directing department since 1978. He also studied pantomime at the Tokyo Mime Institute and the Alok Dance Company.

In 1980, he made his debut as a boy in the Parco Theater production of "Shitayama Mannen-cho Monogatari," based on the original story by Kara Juro and directed by Ninagawa Yukio. He then joined the Situation Theater. In 1985, he participated in the musical New York performance of the Alok Dance Company. After returning to Japan, he appeared in the Tokyo Grand Guignol productions of "Lychee Light Club" and "Barricade." He then worked as a freelance reader of fantasy and horror novels. Since 2002, he has hosted a reading event titled "MONO Story" at the Shibuya art space "Miraiju," focusing on works by Nakai Hideo, Inoue Masahiko, Hayase Rei, and others. He has also been active in the Kaiten Hyakugan theater company. He played the role of a freak show owner in his most famous work, "Shojo Tsubaki," based on the original story by Maruo Suehiro.


********★Ameya Norimizu★ "Techno Heart"********

Koshi Miharu is techno. I know people will say "what's the big deal now?" for saying this, but I'll say it now. Miharu is techno. And I am techno too.
This doesn't mean that I use music that is in the techno pop genre in my plays. It doesn't mean that Miharu doesn't use live piano anymore. (She uses live piano now)
Techno is a certain spirit. Let's call it a techno heart. Without that heart, it's just electro pop.
Now, she is releasing a record on the Non-Standard label. (At the time, CDs weren't around yet.) What is non-standard? It means that it's not standard.
In other words, it means that it's deformed. So is a techno heart a deformity? Yes, it is.
However, this techno heart is an extremely fetishistic pursuit of pleasure, and fetishism is originally something that is unique to men.
Miharu's techno heart is her penis. So, I can boldly declare that Miharu is androgynous.
Compared to most female artists who are called radical, who only play around with women's menstruation, Miharu's radicalism is valuable.

I wonder why my parents didn't let me wear bound feet.
If I had slept with cloth wrapped around my feet from a young age, so much so that they stole blood, then surely by now my small feet would no longer be able to support my normally developed body and I would be constantly stumbling and unable to walk straight. I sometimes find myself indulging in fantasies that could never possibly exist.
My pleasure often comes from such childish, introverted play.
Tokyo Grand Guignol is just as childish! Ameya Norimizu, a young boy, really seems unable to fit in with adults, and every time his mischief escalates it feels good.
Like children who have been given injections that halt their growth, the euphoria that Yougent feels, and the thrilling, heart-pounding moment that only infants can experience when they peek at something they shouldn't, are simply dismissed without any empathy.
By the way, Mongoloid Miharu from the previous film and Marin in this one see through my true nature. So I feel honored to have had the opportunity to become one of these terrifying children this time.

********★Hosono Haruomi★ Over the Top!! ********

I saw Tokyo Grand Guignol. I'll see it again. It's interesting.
There's something about it that you can't find anywhere else.
It doesn't suit a play or a drama, there are performances, dark dances, and so on, but the extremeness that doesn't belong to any of them is thrilling.
If you ask what suits it, it's Tachibana-kun, Radical TV, and Miharu-chan who will be performing this time, in other words, techno.
But even though it's techno, it's not something that maintains harmony, and I think that the fact that they choose music that is excessive in some way is what makes Ameya/Grand Guignol.
The music I make is also excessive, and from now on I've decided to call it OTT (over the top).
I thought that all the people I like are OTT.

Japanese theater has become much more boring since Terayama passed away.
In the end, theater is nothing but theater theory. Even actors are like the pretentious new theater, doing terrible things and getting applause. It feels the same as 30 years ago, and even though there is so much fuss about dance and performance, their narrow-minded perspective is annoying.
In that case, it would be smart to work in a completely different place rather than getting involved with theater today. And that's how I work. And I'm sure he works the same way. A man named Ameya Norimizu.
I also have a theater company called Baziwork Theater, and at its premiere, I was quite inspired by the thorough showmanship of Tokyo Grand Guignol.
In this rotten era, people are indolent. However, those who continue to hide the uncontrollable Pandora's box inside their bodies, concealing their end-of-the-century syndrome, want to tear apart such lazy nights with the most obscene eroticism. Tokyo Grand Guignol is a freak show tent that you might stumble into on a night like this. People will surely find themselves losing their way in the labyrinth.
What you find there is not a play, but merely a deja vu that you yourself tried to forget... Ameya-kun, please do your best.

     ⬇︎ The legendary pop band "Time Slip" by Shiro Sano (now a very famous TV and movie star) 
and Kyusaku Shimada (who played the teacher in the Lychee Hikari Club, now a wonderful actor)             

So, what is Ishikawa Shigetoshi, who plays Nico, up to these days?
He is a kimono designer and the president of a shop called iroca.
He has a lot of kimonos with interesting designs that are unique to Nico.
He has unique designs such as paramecium, jellyfish, and the nine-tailed fox, as well as cyber designs.
I would love to go see a fireworks festival wearing an iroca yukata.
